This is my first job abroad, motivated by new challenges,
innovative technology, and achieving results.
The
goal of this project is to replace and install oil and gas equipments in order to
get the rehabilitation and modernization of the110,000-b/d Esmeraldas refinery that will require intermittent periods of suspended operations at the plant.
The rehabilitation and modernization project began on July 12 2014, with
operations of unidentified processing units temporary suspended to begin maintenance work on infrastructure within the refining complex.
The rehabilitation of the Esmeraldas refinery aims to equip the plant to
operate at 100% of its nameplate operational and production capacity as
well as increase its environmental performance by reducing emissions
levels that conform to national and international standards, according
to an Apr. 18 release from Ecuador’s Ministry of Non-Renewable
Hydrocarbons. Read more.
SK ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION group
won the contracts to install piping and equipments in this project. I am
working as a Piping Supervisor, belong to the Piping Staff. My
responsibilities involved in this job are:
• Provide
direct leadership to the Piping and Welding Team, ensuring that polices and
procedures are followed and best practices are implemented
• Coach,
mentor and promote the development of direct reports and proactively address
technical and behavioural performance concerns
• Effectively
manage the budget and staffing schedule of the Piping and Welding Team, as well
as capital projects work assigned to the Asset Integrity department
• Implement
the installation program within the plant area, supervise shutdowns,
turnarounds and manage unplanned breakdowns
• Regularly
communicate progress and issues associated with the Piping and Welding Team to
the Manager, Asset Integrity and other stakeholders as assigned
•
Supervise the HYDRO TEST packages be
completed in field on time and making the logistic to the documents without
delays.
• Identification and
execution of the TIE-IN’s and HOT
TAPPING packages following instructions from engineering, iso metric
drawings, piping plans and P&ID’s.
